  • What does an AI engagement at Fundament actually look like?
    Every engagement starts with a short discovery: which task are we automating, which data is available, and what does it deliver. Then a small prototype to test the assumptions, and only then production. We deliver something your team can keep using, not a black box.
  • When is AI the right choice for us — and when is it not?
    AI is useful when there is a recurring task with clear input and output, or when your team makes decisions on data that is currently scattered. It is not useful when the underlying processes are not yet in order, or when the gain from a tool is smaller than the cost of adoption. We are honest about that, even when the answer is: wait a while.
  • How do you handle data, privacy and model choice?
    We work within the EU by default and choose, where possible, hosted or self-hosted models so data does not leave your organisation without reason. We apply the same care as with a Pimcore or Magento implementation: minimal data, clear rights, auditable. When an external API is the right choice, we agree upfront which data leaves the building.
  • Can AI plug into our existing Pimcore, Magento or Shopify setup?
    Yes. Most AI applications we build run on top of data already in those platforms — PIM data for content and classification, commerce data for customer and order insights, Shopify Admin for catalogue and inventory logic. We build the integration, manage the rights, and make sure the AI application does not get in the platform’s way.
